Why Is It Difficult to Get Barnes & Noble Books Delivered to Lebanon?
Book lovers and students in Lebanon often search for ways to buy books and educational materials unavailable locally. While Barnes & Noble is one of the largest and most trusted US bookstores, they do not currently offer direct shipping to Lebanon on their website. This creates a challenge for anyone in Lebanon wanting to enjoy the latest US releases, bestsellers, or specialty books only found in American stores.
Even if some US retailers do offer international shipping, fees are often very high, delivery can be slow, and there’s little control over the shipping process or customs paperwork. For Barnes & Noble fans in Lebanon, this means:
- No checkout option for Lebanese addresses
- Occasional card or billing issue errors
- No tracking or support in case things go wrong
- Unpredictable international delivery times and costs
Thankfully, using a reliable US package forwarding partner, you can easily get around these restrictions and shop like a US customer from Lebanon.
What You Need to Know Before Buying from Barnes & Noble for Delivery to Lebanon
Before you start ordering, understanding the key issues and process helps you avoid surprises. Here’s what to keep in mind if you want to buy from Barnes and Noble and ship to Lebanon:
- No Direct Shipping: Barnes & Noble’s website does not support Lebanon as a shipping country. You need a US address to check out.
- Payment Limitations: Some non-US cards may not be accepted on the Barnes & Noble website.
- International Forwarding Required: You’ll need a trusted US-based shipping or package forwarding service, like Global Shopaholics.
- Customs Duties & Local Rules: Imported books may be subject to Lebanese duties or taxes even though many educational materials are duty-free. Always check with Lebanon’s customs regulations.
- Shipping Cost & Delivery Time: Costs and timelines depend on package weight, courier, and destination. Use Global Shopaholics’ shipping calculator for an estimate.
If you’ve previously faced checkout errors or unavailable shipping, you’re not alone—this process solves that problem and unlocks the full Barnes & Noble catalog for Lebanese customers.

Barnes & Noble’s International Shipping Policy: Current Limitations
Barnes & Noble does not currently offer shipping to Lebanon at checkout. The only way to receive Barnes & Noble orders in Lebanon is by providing a valid US address at checkout, which is where package forwarding comes in. Some Barnes & Noble items (such as eBooks or certain toys) have their own specific international restrictions—which can vary from product to product. Shipping availability may also change based on the publisher or item size.
Always check the Barnes & Noble website for the most up-to-date shipping terms, especially during sales or the holiday season, as popular books and releases sometimes sell out quickly.
For other popular US online shopping options and a more complete international shopping experience, you can also consider stores like Amazon US, eBay, Costco, Target, and Walmart using the same forwarding method described below.
