The solution unlocks easier access and transparent shipping from Nordstrom USA to Botswana.
Common Problems When Shipping Nordstrom Orders to Botswana
Before you buy, it’s practical to know what hurdles shoppers in Botswana typically face:
- No direct Nordstrom shipping to Botswana: Nordstrom only ships to select international destinations; Botswana isn’t one.
- Payment or billing address limits: International cards and non-US billing details are sometimes declined by Nordstrom’s checkout.
- High cost per package: Sending each item separately is expensive due to shipping rates, minimum charges, and customs fees.
- Uncertainty about duties and delivery: Customers worry about unexpected import taxes, package loss, or delays at customs.
- US address required: Most premium items and Nordstrom flash deals are only available for US domestic shipping.
A comprehensive solution should help you overcome all these issues—whether you want the cheapest way to buy from Nordstrom and deliver to Botswana or the most reliable.
What Shoppers in Botswana Need to Know Before Buying from Nordstrom USA
Shopping internationally can seem complex, but Botswana shoppers can simplify things by planning ahead. Here’s what you need to consider before checking out at Nordstrom.com:
1. Shipping Availability May Vary
Shipping policies and options can change at any time, depending on the item, seller, Nordstrom’s inventory, and even the US checkout address you use. Not all brands or product categories on Nordstrom are eligible for US domestic shipping or international forwarding, especially restricted goods.
2. Know Botswana Import Duties and VAT
Botswana calculates VAT (Value-Added Tax) and may apply customs duties on personal imports. Read the official Botswana Customs Duty & VAT Guide so you’re prepared to pay required fees when your package arrives. Pre-calculate using the declared item value on your shipment.
3. Package Forwarding Makes It Possible
A trusted forwarding service lets you shop Nordstrom and other US retailers and have all purchases shipped to one USA warehouse address. From there, packages are prepared, consolidated (to save you shipping costs), and sent by international courier to Botswana. You can track progress and get assistance throughout.
4. Assisted Purchase for Payment Problems
Some shoppers experience issues paying Nordstrom with a Botswana billing address or foreign card. That’s where assisted purchase services are invaluable—Global Shopaholics can buy items for you if your card is declined.

Shipping Costs
The total to buy from Nordstrom and ship to Botswana typically includes:
- The price of items at Nordstrom (no US sales tax if shipped to Global Shopaholics’ tax-free warehouse)
- US domestic shipping from Nordstrom to your US address (often free for orders above a minimum)
- International shipping from Global Shopaholics US warehouse to Botswana—calculated by weight, dimensions, carrier, and speed
- Optional services—such as package consolidation, storage, or package photos
- Botswana import VAT and duty, payable on delivery as per customs regulation
To estimate your own shipping, use the Global Shopaholics shipping calculator. Typical international shipping rates are more cost-effective when multiple items are shipped together using consolidation, rather than sending many small packages separately.
Shipping Transit Times
Transit time depends on the courier you select, volume, and customs clearance in Botswana. With major couriers, deliveries from the US to Botswana usually take 5–12 business days from dispatch, but customs inspection may add time for certain packages.
Customs Duties and Import Taxes
Botswana charges 14% VAT on imports, and customs duty may be assessed based on product category and value. Carefully declare your goods to ensure smooth entry. For up-to-date duty rates, visit the Botswana Unified Revenue Service (Customs) site.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using a home or work address outside the US at Nordstrom checkout—use only your Global Shopaholics provided US address
- Ordering restricted or prohibited goods (see below)
- Neglecting to check customs fees or entry rules before shipping
- Failing to consolidate orders, resulting in higher total costs
Restrictions & Product Limitations to Know When Shipping Nordstrom Items to Botswana
Not all products sold by Nordstrom can be shipped outside the US or admitted to Botswana because of international and local rules. Always check the latest regulations before purchasing, as restrictions may depend on:
- Product type: Some beauty products (aerosols, flammable), batteries, and electronics have stricter shipping restrictions.
- Brand or seller policies: Certain luxury items, fragrances, or third-party brands at Nordstrom may be excluded from export, even within the USA.
- Botswana customs: Some items are prohibited from import (weapons, counterfeit goods, hazardous substances, certain food items).
If in doubt, contact your forwarding provider or Botswana Customs to confirm before purchase. For basic guidance on package forwarding USA to Botswana and restricted goods, Global Shopaholics provides dedicated support.
US Shopping to Botswana: Should You Consolidate Nordstrom Orders?
